    Discovery Point is our headquarters and a unique educational facility. Visitors learn best practices in water management and conservation in a wooded setting. The 5.3 acre, wooded site connects to walking trails and a wetland.

In June 2025, The District started invasive fish removal from Penn Lake. These fish root around the bottom of the lake contributing to native vegetation loss and nutrient release. They also can outcompete native fish populations leading to limited lake biodiversity. We loved joining two National Night Out celebrations last night—one hosted by the City of Hopkins and another right in Discovery Point’s neighborhood! It was a wonderful evening to connect with neighbors and community members on a perfect summer evening!
