At Nine Mile Creek Watershed District, we are committed to ensuring that people with disabilities have access to the information and resources we provide. We are engaged in ongoing efforts to improve the accessibility of our website to users, regardless of disability, and we continuously update the functionality of the NMCWD website to ensure that it accommodates use of assistive devices.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. The guidelines define three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA. NMCWD is engaged in ongoing efforts to ensure that its website conforms with WCAG 2.1, level AA, as required by law.
Improvement Process
The NMCWD is making ongoing improvements to ensure the accessibility of your online experience.
- Retained an expert, independent-third party to provide consultation and audit our website
- Undertaken efforts to fix issues identified in the audit, including directing NMCWD’s website host to identify barriers to accessibility and compliance, then implementing content corrections, navigation improvements and other repairs to remove such barriers
- Invested in training to ensure our digital content personnel follow best practices for accessibility, improving NMCWD’s capacity for creating accessible language, images, links, headings and other content.
