Welcome Emma!

The District is excited to welcome Emma Gross as our new Summer Field Intern!

Emma will be working mainly on permit inspections and fisheries/water resource projects such as fish surveys, invasive species removal, and field maintenance. In 2024, she graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a B.S in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior and a minor in Conservation Biology.  Last summer, she completed an internship at the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District while still working as an administrative assistant at the Soil Testing and Research Analytical Laboratory, where she worked for three years before joining the NMCWD staff. Being from Minnetonka, she enjoys working in a familiar part of the cities. When not working, she likes to paint, watch good shows and movies, and spend time with friends.
