Celebrating 60 years
The Nine Mile Creek Watershed District recently celebrated its 60 year anniversary at the Hyland Hills Ski Chalet. Thank you to all those who were able to attend this event; it was wonderful to have the opportunity to celebrate with our partners, volunteers, colleagues, and former staff and board managers.
Participants could choose from many activities, including learning about our regulatory and permitting program, reading posters on our many projects over the last 60 years, and posing with costumes in the photobooth! Thank you to the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District for use of their lovely backdrop.
Participants were also encouraged to share their personal connection toNine Mile Creek in our “60 stories for 60 years” collection. We received so many great stories from attendees; we will be sharing some of these stories, as well as more pictures, in the coming weeks on our social media pages. Be sure to follow us!
