Don’t rake your leaves into the street!! They go straight down the storm drains and into nearby lakes and creeks. There, they break down, adding way too many nutrients into our waters. Yes, city sweepers clean our streets, but they only pick up leaves that have fallen naturally on our roads. If they had to pick up all the leaves from our yards too, it would slow them down quite a bit. What’s a better option? Mulch them into your lawn or compost them!

This week, our team took a step towards protecting wildlife by installing Acordian Birdsavers on select windows of our building. These innovative installations are designed to reduce bird strikes and contribute to the preservation of bird populations. We’re hopeful that these efforts will make a difference in saving our feathered friends, and we look forward to expanding this initiative further!
