“Because 9 Mile Creek meanders in our backyard, I first joined the CAC to learn more about water quality and our impact on the creek, so my kids and those further down the creek would continue to enjoy and explore this natural playground. Since joining, I’ve really enjoyed volunteering at community outreach events, throwing on some waders to identify water bugs, and even organizing a neighborhood trash pick up. And most importantly, I’ve been able to show my kids the impact they have on the creek they explore and the watershed they live in.”
