The District is excited to welcome Claire Volk as our new GreenCorps member!

Claire is the newest GreenCorps member at Nine Mile Creek. During her 11-month service term, Claire will be working on a variety of different projects including creating new monitoring and assessment protocols, coordinating and implementing volunteer management and events, and a variety of watershed education and outreach.

Claire graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a B.S. in Environmental Sciences Policy and Management with a track in Conservation and Resource Management and a minor in Parks and Protected Area Management. Before her service year with the GreenCorps, Claire worked as a naturalist for the Three Rivers Park District at the Baker Outdoor Learning Center and as an environmental educator for the Wild Rivers Conservancy. In her free time, Claire loves to go on hikes, look at trees and soil, read, play tennis, and spend time with her friends and family.
