Last week, Scout Troop 469 had a successful cleanup event! The troop helped keep Normandale Lake clean by picking up trash around the lake. More than 40 troop members and parents volunteered their time to help preserve the beauty of Normandale Lake. The scout troop enjoyed spending time outdoors, and they were able to maintain social distancing while collecting trash around the lake. Altogether, the troop collected 37 pounds of trash! Troop 469 is a great example of how community efforts can benefit the health of our lakes and creeks and bring joy to people along the way. The Nine Mile Creek Watershed District is very appreciative of the efforts to keep our lakes clean.
