Planting for clean water

On a hot day at the end of May, the kindergartners at Creek Valley Elementary gathered to plant native flowers for clean water. Watershed District staff and volunteers joined them as they learned about the creek restoration, water bugs, and making seed balls. By planting native plants in the prairie behind the school, these students created habitat for pollinators, while the long roots of these plants will soak up more water.
