2026 South Fork Nine Mile Creek Stabilization Project – Bloomington

The Nine Mile Creek Watershed District (NMCWD) is accepting online electronic bids only for streambank stabilization work along a portion of the South Fork of Nine Mile Creek in Bloomington.

Bids must be submitted through QuestCDN VirtuBid by 10:00 a.m. CDT on Friday, August 28, 2026. Bids will be opened immediately following the deadline.

Project Overview

The project includes:

  • Installation of woody material, including toewood, tree trunks, and brush bundles
  • Restoration of riffle habitat
  • Reshaping streambanks and constructing bankfull benches
  • Narrowing the stream channel
  • Removal of invasive woody vegetation
  • Seeding native riparian vegetation

Construction is anticipated to take place in late summer and fall 2026.
