Welcome Rashi!
Rashi DaSilva is our GreenCorps member serving at Nine Mile Creek Watershed District for 11 months.
In 2025, Rashi graduated from Macalester College with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and a minor in Geology. During college, she pursued opportunities in ecology and education with Cedar Creek Ecosystem Reserve in 2023, Spark-Y in 2024, and Friends of the Mississippi River in 2025. With FMR, she built on her ecological knowledge and applied it to habitat restoration and planning practices with their Land Conservation team. She also worked closely with FMR’s pollinator biologist, Julia Leone, to help lead volunteer programs in pollinator surveys and camera trap monitoring. Being from Northern California, she loves all water activities in all forms, especially surfing in the summer and skiing in the winter. She greatly appreciates the seasonality of Minnesota, specifically the autumn colors. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, crafting, and playing soccer with her friends.
Rashi will be assisting the education and outreach program, as well as working on shoreline inventory and inspections.
