Following the presentation, join us for a guided tour of Nine Mile Creek Discovery Point. The tour will include the sustainable landscape features of the site including raingardens, permeable pavers, low-mow fescue, landscape restoration, and different planting strategies appropriate for small and large-scale spaces.

About the presenter: Matthew Kumka
Matthew Kumka is a landscape architect that specializes in sustainable site development and green infrastructure, including regenerative design, stormwater best management practices, and native plant community restoration. He has served as lead designer and project manager on numerous landscape projects related to stormwater quality improvement and ecologically-appropriate placemaking. For the last ten years he has worked with many local watershed districts and cities to develop landscaping to improve water quality.
