Using salt wisely at our places of worship and non-profit organizations!

January 8th, 2019 at Nine Mile Creek Watershed District

(Please note: this workshop has been rescheduled from November 20th to January 8th)

This non-denominational Smart Salting training is geared towards those who use or buy deicing salt at places of worship. Clergy, maintenance staff, secretaries, and others can learn the basics of using salt wisely. This interfaith initiative aims to help places of worship build community, save money, and protect the environment while still keeping worshipers safe.

Light, kosher snacks will be served. Presentation includes a short, hands-on activity outside.

We will also have activities for children. Please note if you will be bringing your children.

This program presented thanks to the help of the Nine Mile Creek, Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek, and Minnehaha Creek Watershed Districts, Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission, and the City of Minnetonka.

Both sessions are the same. You only need to register for one.
